In this update you will find information on new projects for 2019/20 which include the Bay of Colwyn Ambassadors, Wales Rally GB 2019 Colwyn Special Stage, Refill Colwyn and also updates on existing projects such as the Rhos on Sea Festoon (Seaside) Lighting, Heritage Trail and Training dates.
Owing to the strong relationships forged in the first three years of the BID we have begun our fourth year in high gear with projects being supported by Old Colwyn Residents Association (OCRA), Mochdre Community Council, Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) Highways Department, CCBC Licensing, Bay of Colwyn Town Council, Motorsport UK, CCBC Events and Marketing teams, Refill Cymru and the Marine Conservation Society to name but a few. Along with a new relationship currently developing with the Colwyn Business Support Zone. Collaborating with multiple agencies isn’t always plain sailing however with the shared goal of creating and promoting the Bay of Colwyn these partnerships are achieving great things.
In order for the team to truly represent the voice of the businesses when working with outside agencies, direct engagement is key however in the past we have been unable to maintain a high standard of communication with our members. To address this, a Communication and Engagement Initiative is underway which includes introducing our Networking Evenings and monthly Open Door Engagement Sessions and we are now able to improve the speed at which information and project updates are available to you via our website which is updated almost daily.
We look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at our AGM this year.
